An agency of the government of Kenya is holding a paltry KSh 55,933, or just 559 US dollars, as inheritance for president Barack Obama from his father, Obama Senior.

Vincent Kimosop, chairman of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority was on Tuesday July 14 quoted by Business Daily stating that he holds the money from president Obama’s father.

It is not clear, however, to whom the money will go among Obama Senior family members.

He died in 1982 in a car crash and had deposited the money with the Kenya National Assurance Corporation before it was put under the custody of Kimosop.

Under the Luo customs, a father’s wealth is split among the sons.
